PAINTING

Paintings mine the possibilities of simple geometric shapes and their visual interplays. Using precise, controlled marks on paper, canvas and glass, I compose, layer, and modulate forms — building positive and negative spaces that accumulate and scale across single and multiple panels. What began as a practice committed to black and white slowly opened up to color inspired by personal narrative and place. More recently, painting has become a form of emotional discourse and regulation, breaking from past constraints through kinetic linework and bold brushwork.
